Furlough

Even though the government has shut down and workers have been furloughed, I thank God that I am still able to work. By the grace of God, my position was somehow deemed "mission essential" and I can continue coming to work :) that by itself is a miracle, at least to me.

Regardless of what happens in my life, I know that I always have a Father above watching over me. Thank you!

On a side note, today is father's birthday.  Happy birthday to you! I hope you are doing well and have many years ahead of you.

Being Called

There are 7 incidences in the Bible where God has called someone's name twice.

Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samuel, Simon Peter, Martha, Saul

So...?

Whenever God called someone's name twice in the Bible, an important event will occur

Abraham - called out of Ur
Jacob - called to go to Egypt
Moses - called to lead the Israelites out of Egypt
Samuel - transition period from judges to prophets
Simon Peter - before his denial and reformation
Martha - resurrection of Lazarus
Saul - conversion and paving the way for Gentiles

If we only have mind, we would be mere intellect.
If we only have eyes, we would only be able to see.
If we only have ears, we would only be able to hear.
If we only have feet, we would only be able to walk the steps.
If we only have mouth, we would only be able to utter meaningless words.
If we only have hands, we would only be able to do the work without regards.

Every part is needed to accomplish the work God has entrusted to us.

Our faith is very similar to binary numbers. More often than not, we disagree with that mindset. Which is why there are gaps and grey areas in our faith. We're either doing things right or we're not. When we give excuses, we're doubting. When we doubt, we have internal conflicts. If there are internal conflicts, then we should reevaluate ourselves.

"To him who knows to do good but does not do it, to him it is sin."

We either make it to Heaven or don't. Enter into eternal rest or not. 1 or 0.

Don't lose your usefulness...

As I was about to throw out the head of my electric toothbrush, due to normal wear and tear, I realized that I did not have proper replacement for it. Given the circumstances, it was decided that the worn head of the toothbrush was still useful...

...am I still useful to God? How close am I to being let go for my lack of unfaithfulness and actions?

Don't lose your faithfulness to God.

That is all that matters.

It's been a while, huh? A few weeks ago, as I was cleaning my room, I came across my journal and started reading it. After reading my journal, I thought about this blog and how it's been disregarded. I don't think I can reflect the way I did back then...it's been almost 2 years since I wrote anything here...or anywhere as a matter of fact. Anyway, a lot has happened and whether good or bad, I can truly say I'm grateful and content with where I am right now...so thank You!

Time to start reflecting on all that's been given to me and the things which I will receive.
